Halve Bus Fares For Under 21s

Slice Bus Fares in half for under-21s in Conwy

Young people are the backbone of our local economy, driving the leisure, tourism, and service sectors. But, many are forced to rely on family and friends for lifts to work, school, college, and social activities due to limited affordable transport options.

The Clwyd North Young Lib Dems are calling on Conwy to recognise this challenge and subsidise half price bus fares for under-21s. Just as free bus travel for pensioners helps combat social isolation, cheaper travel for young people would foster independence, open up opportunities, and strengthen our community. It’s time to invest in the next generation.

It’ll be a win for everyone — even if you’re not getting cheaper fares! More passengers using the bus means a stronger, more frequent, and reliable service for all — young and old alike!

Slice Bus Fares in Half

Sign our petition asking Conwy County Borough Council to subside bus fares for 16-21 year olds to make them half of an adult fare today.
