Welsh Lib Dems announce candidate for Clwyd East ahead of general election
Today (4th January 2024) the Welsh Liberal Democrats have announced that they have chosen Alec Dauncey as their prospective candidate for Clwyd East.
Mr Dauncey, a part-time lecturer at Bangor University, has strong ties to the constituency having started his working life in the Clocaenog Forest whilst also having close family living in the area for many years.
Commenting, PPC Alec Dauncey said:
“I am delighted to have been chosen as the prospective candidate for Clwyd East.
This general election, we the Welsh Liberal Democrats will be fighting for the future of our nation and its future generations.
I will be campaigning strongly for effective action to address the climate emergency and for closer ties with Europe to help reverse the economic decline we have seen and suffered through as a nation.”
